Years experience
“Skill without recognition is potential that never gets spent. Our work is to close that gap — for the worker who has the ability but not the paper to prove it.”
I spent the first two decades of my career inside organisations — in administration, in human resources, in banking and in multinational environments — and in almost every one of them I watched the same thing happen. Capable people were passed over because their capability could not be verified, while less capable people advanced because theirs could.
In human resources you see this from the inside. You hold a stack of applications and you can only act on what is documented. You know that somewhere in that pile is someone who could do the job better than anyone you will interview, and you will never find them, because nothing in their file says so.
JN CSDC exists because that gap is fixable. Competency-based training and assessment, and Recognition of Prior Learning in particular, are the mechanisms by which real ability becomes documented ability. They are not glamorous instruments. They are, however, the ones that work.
We are deliberate about who we serve. Domestic workers, guides, service staff, returning migrants — people whose occupations are widely treated as unskilled and are nothing of the sort. Treating those occupations with the seriousness they warrant, and assessing them against real standards, is the whole proposition.
What I ask of every learner is honesty about where they are starting from. What we commit to in return is that a competent result from this centre means something — because a certificate that is easy to obtain is worth exactly what it costs to obtain it.

Each of these fields contributed something specific to how the centre operates.
Recruitment, workforce planning and capability assessment — the vantage point from which the credential gap is most visible.
Organisational systems, governance and the documentation discipline that makes an assessment centre defensible.
Regulated-environment experience where process integrity and record-keeping are not optional.
International standards, cross-cultural working practice and the expectations of overseas employers.
Campaign, advertising and communication strategy experience that anchors the centre's media services division.
Curriculum design, competency-based delivery and trainer development across occupational sectors.
Sustained work with underserved communities, which shapes which occupations the centre chooses to serve.
Specific dates and employer names are omitted pending confirmation; the progression below reflects the professional path that led to founding the centre.
